STUDY OF PATTERN OF ANTERIOR UVEITIS IN RURAL SET UP

Introduction:Anterior uveitis includes iritis, iridocyclitis and anterior cyclitis. Aim of the study is to evaluate clinical profile in tertiary care centre Western Maharashtra. Methodology:An observational ,descriptive , cross sectional was conducted at hospital rural set up. A total 35 eyes 27 patients diagnosed with were evaluated. All underwent complete ophthalmic evaluation systemic examination. Results:This included patients. Anterior affected most commonly people age group 5th 6th decade. No gender predilection seen. In majority etiology idiopathic (19 cases /70.37%) while Rheumatoid Arthritis 2 seen (7.40%). Majority had non- granulomatous type 91.42%. Unilateral presentation 70.37% cases. Most common complication complicated cataract 7 (20%).). cells grade 2+( 37.14 %) flare 1+ (28.57%). Conclusion:Anterior observed decade life. idiopathic.
